Privacy

This site collects as little as it is possible to collect while still being a website.

What we collect

Nothing directly. The Money-Printing Press is a static site: there are no accounts, no sign-in, no comment system, and no forms to submit. We set no cookies of our own, and the site loads no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. There is no client-side JavaScript on these pages at all.

What our hosting provider collects

The site is served by Netlify. Like any web host, it records standard server request logs — IP address, user agent, referring page, and the time and path of each request — which are used to deliver the site, to keep it available, and to defend it against abuse. Those logs are held by Netlify under its own privacy policy and retention schedule, not by us.

Images and documents are stored by our content management system and served from its media endpoint, which redirects your browser to object storage. Requesting an image therefore involves that provider in the same ordinary way.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or trade information about visitors.
  • We do not build profiles of readers or track you across other sites.
  • We do not embed third-party social, advertising or analytics widgets.

Third-party links

Essays link out to other sites. Once you follow such a link you are subject to that site's privacy practices, over which we have no control and for which we take no responsibility.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. If the site ever adds something that collects information from you directly — a newsletter signup, say — this page will say so before it does.
